How To Make Bows Using Fondant Icing

To create a bow, start with two perpendicular flat strips of fondant crossing the cake.
Add two strips to act as the ends of the bow ribbon.
For the bow itself, cut two even strips, form two loops and create an accordion effect on each end to create a knotted look.
Prepare the surface with a little water to adhere the loops.
Press down securely.
Then stuff the loops with tissue to maintain their shape while they dry.
Use another strip to create the knot.
Accordion both ends and wrap the center of the two loops.
To finish your bow, gently steam to create a shiny surface.
